Director’s Message

"All parents and children deserve a local school which meets their aspirations for high achievement and good prospects for the future.

The new school will offer your child an excellent education in a caring, hard-working environment.

There will be a new curriculum with new opportunities for all.

The plans outlined here will create a thriving centre of excellence, which can be supported with confidence by the whole community."

Frances Magee, Director of Education Services

Building on Success

The partners in the Transformation Project include the staff, students, parents, governors, Haringey Council, businesses and the wider community.

We are working together to make changes now and for the future. We want to make sure that every student can achieve to the best of their abilities and benefit from first rate opportunities on their doorstep.

By September 1999, we will have a new curriculum, new technology and be well on the way to improving the school environment.

In future years, the school will become a ‘neighbourhood learning centre’. This will mean that everyone in the community will be able to use the school's facilities to improve their own skills. We want to put lifelong learning at the centre of the local community.

School Facts

The new school will remain a mixed comprehensive school for pupils aged 11- 18.
There are currently 890 pupils at the Langham School.
The Langham School site is located in mid-Tottenham on Langham Road, London N15.
